WORKCAMP 2007 Our youth and their adult advisors will go to Rhode Island from July 1-7 for the Wood River Junction workcamp. The schedule for our workcampers looks as follows: § Send-off on Sunday, June 24, at the 10:30 a.m. service § Depart from St. James Church on Friday, June 29 § Saturday, June 30, a day of relaxing in Rhode Island § Sunday-Saturday, July 1-7, the actual workcamp § Sunday, July 8, workcampers report back at the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Do you want to go to workcamp? We have space for both young people age 14 and above and adults. Contact Joanne Jones or the church office to express your interest. Other ways you can support the workcampers: · Help out at our annual Strawberry Festival, Friday June 1, 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. Volunteer, or just come and eat lots! · Buy soups and salads at our Third Sunday Socials. · Adopt a workcamper. The full cost of a camper’s registration is $399. If you can’t afford to adopt a workcamper fully, you may make a partial donation toward a particular camper. · Buy one or more shares of “stock” at $20 per “share”; for yourself, and/or as gifts to others. · Share any ideas you have with youth advisor Joanne Jones or Children and Youth Director Kathrin Baltz.
