10:30 a.m. St. James is a community church. We were
established by God through the people of the community to serve the
community. More than half a dozen additional community organizations
presently use our building to stage their affairs and hold their meetings. If
St. James can help, it will. St. James is a mission church. We are
members of the United Church of Christ. The United Church of Christ now
numbers 1.6 million people. We support our denomination's wider mission to
the nation and the world. We support and co-operate with other Christian
groups and share the vigorous ecumenical spirit of the United Church of
Christ. We work toward the realization of our denomination's motto, the
prayer of Jesus in John 17:22. "That They May All Be One." St. James is a growing church. From our
inception in 1944, we seek to bring others into our friendship. We are a
diverse selection of people from many traditions. All who love Christ are
welcome to join with us. St. James is a church of the future. We
trust the Holy Spirit will continue to guide us into making new friends,
proclaiming clearly the good news of God's love, and serving God by serving
others in ever more joyful ways. Send comments to Frank Schaffer, Minister
